NEPIRC Adds Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training to Service Offerings

September 8, 2017

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC) is now offering a one-day Six Sigma Yellow Belt training program.

NEPIRC’s Six Sigma Yellow Belt training program gives participants a working knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma methodology – a proven approach to reducing process variation, eliminating defects and improving quality. Six Sigma practices are used within 82% of Fortune 100 companies and 53% of Fortune 500 companies. Since reaching widespread adoption, those practices have saved Fortune 500 companies over $427 billion.

Participants of NEPIRC’s Six Sigma Yellow Belt program will gain the foundational knowledge to assist in and support internal Six Sigma projects. Topics covered include how to define a Six Sigma project; proper identification, collection and measurement of data; data analysis techniques; and how to improve internal processes and keep them in control.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to contribute as part of an internal Six Sigma project team and work on more complex team projects under the guidance of a Certified Green Belt or Black Belt professional.

Attendees will learn through a combination of classroom-style instruction and hands-on exercises.

NEPIRC’s Six Sigma training programs have helped numerous companies find solutions to their most difficult manufacturing challenges, increase their operating efficiency and provide better service to their customers.

This one-day program is being offered on Thursday, October 12th at TekRidge Center, 50 Alberigi Drive, Jessup, PA. The program can also be offered on-site for companies that plan to have numerous associates trained in Six Sigma.
