What is the Workplace Trainer Certificate Program? The Workplace Trainer Certificate Program is a rigorous 5-day program offered, in 8 hour sessions on five Tuesdays for a total of 40 hours of training. The program consists of four (4) modules presented during the five (5) week period. The program provides Workplace Trainers with the tools they need to capably train incoming workers and cross train current workers to maximize their productivity in the shortest period of time. This program has proven to be the most effective technique for teaching trainers how to instruct new and current workers to perform new jobs in a safe and productive manner. Additionally, the final module will teach the Workplace Trainers to begin the process of improving the existing Job Methods by isolating and eliminating non-essential tasks.
Needs & Benefits: Training incoming and/or current workers to perform new jobs is not an easy task. Often this task is the responsibility of the Supervisor or Lead person who is most proficient at performing the job, but has received little or not training in how to instruct other people effectively. This program will teach the skills necessary for the Workplace Trainer to identify the critical tasks, prepare the incoming worker to listen and learn, and effectively train the incoming worker to perform the job in the safest and most productive fashion. This training methodology has proven to be the fastest method for elevating incoming workers to normal productivity in the shortest period of time. The Workplace Trainer Certificate program supports business growth by eliminating one of the most significant barriers companies have to hiring new employees - inability to quickly and effectively train new employees on how to satisfactorily perform their job tasks.

Emphasizing Job Safety The central model of the program is the accident chain. through several case studies given in the program and demonstrations brought in by trainees, this model is used to map out problems on the board and practice the program method. Indirect and Direct causes lead to unsafe acts and conditions that create incidents and injuries. The events leading up to a safety incident are interloked like the links of a chain; a "chain of events". The trainer's job is to break that chain.
