Three NEPIRC professionals recently completed foundation-level coursework in pursuit of their Innovation Engineering Black Belt Certification. The Innovation Engineering Black Belt program, developed by the nationwide Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program, Eureka! Ranch and University of Maine, consists of coursework, personal study and real-world implementation sufficient to enable NEPIRC staff members to work with clients to increase innovation speed and decrease innovation risk. In short, Innovation Engineering Black Belts enable their clients to become better, faster and more successful at innovating new products, services, processes and business models.
Over the months ahead, additional NEPIRC staff will participate in the Black Belt program and all associates with attend an Innovation Engineering Leadership Institute event. During its 2012-2013 year, NEPIRC anticipates the launch of a complete suite of Innovation Engineering services.
