In collaboration with the University of Scranton Small Business Development Center, Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Lackawanna, NEPIRC is offering manufacturing representative scholarships for the Leadership Lackawanna Core Program class of 2013.
Leadership Lackawanna fosters the development of community leaders by providing participants with an increased understanding of the Greater Scranton area through facilitated sessions that thoroughly cover relevant topics such as regional economic development resources, local government structures, area healthcare and educational organizations, northeastern Pennsylvania history, regional media outlets and contacts, and quality of life features. Participants can also create a valuable network of peers and business contacts through Leadership Lackawanna’s alumni group, which includes over 900 community and business leaders.
Leadership Lackawanna sessions are held one weekday each month for 10 months, and the program is open to professionals who either work or live in Lackawanna County.
Through NEPIRC’s scholarship program, manufacturers that enroll a company representative into the program will receive a 50% scholarship on the $1,200 tuition – resulting in a company contribution of only $600 per representative. NEPIRC’s five scholarships are available on a first-come, first served basis and are limited to one scholarship per company.
