Gerry joined NEPIRC in 2006 and works closely with clients on initiatives designed to increase their production capacity, reduce production costs, and capitalize on top-line sales growth and bottom-line margin improvement opportunities. His areas of specialization include Lean Enterprise, the alignment of strategic plans with operational metrics and monitoring, value stream management through Continuous Improvement, advanced problem-solving techniques and the creation and implementation of standardized work. Gerry also works with clients to identify business growth opportunities – such as new customers, new markets and new products – to utilize the increased production capacity created through NEPIRC’s Lean Enterprise engagements.
Gerry brings over 30 years of manufacturing expertise to his client engagements, including previous experiences as Manufacturing Engineer, Advanced Technology Engineer, Manufacturing Manager and Plant Manager within international manufacturing companies.
Gerry’s passion for manufacturing is evidenced by his professional certifications as a Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO Internal Auditor, Lean Enterprise professional by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and, most recently, Certified Global Business Professional by the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE).
Gerry holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, is a certified Green Generalist through Purdue University, and is an active member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the Association for Operations Management (or APICS) and the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME).
Gerry’s passion for Operational Excellence has made him a welcome presenter on numerous manufacturing panel discussions and a valuable speaker on topics such as Lean Enterprise, business growth, innovation and sustainable (green) manufacturing at seminars and conferences throughout the nation.
